The BloodAccording to Abd-ru-shin in the book 'In the Light of Truth', the Grail Message, "the connection between the blood and the spirit can easily be substantiated. It need only be realised that until the spirit has entered the developing body of a child at incarnation, which takes place at a very definite stage of development in the middle of pregnancy, causing the child's first movements; that until this stage has been reached its own blood does not begin to circulate;..." In fact the development of the physical body up till the time of the middle of pregnancy is mainly gross material, in short mainly physical in nature. Before then the growing physical body does not move. The fact that it begins to move after a particular time shows that an animating substance must have entered because without this animating substance it would virtually be impossible for the body to move as the physical body is only a covering with no life of its own. We must realise that the movement of the body does not in actual fact depend on the brain but that the latter is nothing but an handyman in the process. Latest scientific research has indeed documented that there is an initiating factor which is associated with the cerebellum (back brain). Signals from the cerebellum determine the timing and extent of contractions of muscle which indicate that the signals from the cerebellum has to reach the muscles before that from the cerebrum (frontal brain). The movements of the foetus therefore signifies the entrance or the incarnation of the spirit into the growing body. Until this stage of the entrance of the spirit, the spirit's own blood does not begin to circulate. Therefore, the spirit brings its blood with it and its incarnation is a stimulus to the formation of its own blood. But why does it have to form its own blood? The function of the blood is to serve as a bridge or an implement for the unfolding of the spirit on earth. In the Lecture "The Mystery of the Blood" the Author of the Grail Message says that the blood ".....is meant to form the bridge for the activity of the spirit on earth....". Therefore, without the blood the human spirit cannot unfold itself, cannot really be active because the bridge for this would be lacking. If the physical body only were the basis for the blood we would have seen great similarities between human and animal blood and animal to human blood transfusions would have been in practice. The fact that this is not so proves that these two types of blood are so different that the differences indeed cannot be bridged. The human spirits therefore, on incarnating naturally would have brought their bloods with them. The incarnations of human beings in the middle of pregnancy these days is a reflection of the process that occurred with the first incarnations of the human spirit germs because this also occurred during the mid-cycle stage or age of the earth. Their entrance marked the incarnation of an entirely new species which called for the formation of a new blood that corresponded to this species and would help it unfold on earth. Therefore, they must have formed their own blood during the incarnation. It surely cannot occur to us that a completely different species that the human spirit is would use the blood of the animal for his activities on earth. This happening would indeed explain the differences in the natures of the bloods and also help us understand the evolution of this most important bridge. Therefore, the earliest change was in the blood composition, which made possible all the other changes since these depended on this. This change allowed the newly incarnated spirit germs to take full possession of their physical bodies because the basis for the full control of the physical body lies in this. The radiation of the blood is what welds the soul together with the body and then through this union the spirit is able to use this tool which the physical body is for its own ends. This immediate change of the blood composition already marked and separated the two species and formed the basis for the "taking root" of the human spiritual on earth. With his own blood in his veins, he took possession of the physical body and used it effectively as his tool. The basis for the unfolding of the spiritual on earth was thereby provided by the change in the composition of the blood without which there would have been no difference whatsoever between humans and animals. This marked the evolutionary divide or cleavage or leap from what is old to what is new. With his own blood coursing in his veins, the characteristics and the abilities of the human spiritual could begin to show and assert itself on earth for all to see. The work of the spiritual for the first time, through the radiation of the blood became visible and effective on earth. Its volition could be made felt just because of this. The human spiritual in a physical body of an animal with the blood of an animal would not have been able to assert his volition because the basis for an unfolding would have been lacking. This basis however, is the radiation of the blood homogenous to the nature of the spirit. The very first human spirits who incarnated brought their bloods with them and this was the beginning of the epoch of man on earth. This new radiation gave him a strong connection with his physical body and he could now gradually through this also convert the animal physical body he inherited through the process of evolution into a human one. This could only have taken place through the bridge that the blood offered in its radiation. Through the blood, the power was given to the human spiritual not only to control the physical body and develop it further and bring it to homogeneity with the nature of the spiritual lying in it, which of course it did in the further course of evolution; it at the same time gave him the power to go out and dominate all else in his surroundings. Although at that time he was still more or less an infant spiritually, his radiation being spiritual was strongest in the world of matter and automatically guaranteed this domination. All the potentials existing in the spirit germ could be made manifest on earth through this implement, the blood. He could fulfil his destiny. He could then gradually begin to unfold the various abilities which he carried within him and which would not have been possible on earth without the blood. The blood therefore forms the most important link for the human spiritual on earth. Its formation marks the entrance of the human spiritual and its continued unfolding on earth. A new species definitely calls for a new blood species. A new species means something different has taken possession of the physical body and in order to assert its volition, must form what will allow it to do this, which in this case is the blood. The characteristics of a species can only be seen on earth through its ability to act through the blood. Its volition can only manifest through the radiation of the blood and without this it would remain in the physical body, unable to take possession of or control it. The human spirit carries completely different characteristics and abilities within itself which it is meant to develop here on earth and the tool he needs in this is the blood. The animal however, even the most developed ones do not have these abilities, because the core of the animal is only animistic and as such do not possess the abilities that the human spirit calls its own. All these has nothing to do with the brain. The entrance of the spirit and the consequent formation of its own blood allowed it to control the further evolution of the physical body including the brain. What therefore comes first is the spirit which controls all else. Once the spirit has entered, it could now shape the physical body into an effective tool for its own purpose. So the physical body had to develop following the direction and dictates of the spirit. The role of the blood therefore cannot be overemphasised. If the blood as such depended on the physical body one would have seen a far greater similarity between the blood of the present apes and that of man. Further proof that the blood did not depend on the physical body is given by the finding of significant molecular similarity especially in the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), which is the molecule of inheritance between the physical body of man and various primate groups whereas a similar finding has not been found between the composition of the blood of man and the primates. These have been found to be so different that the barriers are indeed insurmountable. If the blood, however, depended on the physical body this would have called for a greater similarity between the two species. This indeed proves that the core of each species is what forms the blood. The animistic core of the animal forms its own blood, whereas the spiritual core of the human forms a type of blood that is suitable for it and as such due to this difference in the essences of these two creatures is bound also to be different whereas they only have the physical body in common and that is why the basis of physical inheritance which is the DNA, is very similar. The similarity between the DNA of man and that of many primates indeed proves a common physical descent, but this only refers to the physical body, that is what we have in common. What we do not have in common is the core and the proof that we do not have the core in common is the utter difference in the nature of the blood of these two species. If everything was just the physical body like the scientists say, then we ask why do we not have a molecular similarity in terms of the composition of the blood, for example in the blood groups and so on? There must therefore be something which has not been discovered by the scientists that determines these things and as a result must be responsible for this difference. In a scientific survey of the percentage of similarity between human and primate DNA, it was found that there was 58% similarity of human DNA with the galago, 84.2% similarity with the capuchin monkey, 90.5% similarity with the vervet monkey, 91.1% similarity with the rhesus monkey, 94.7% similarity with the gibbon, and 97.6% similarity with the chimpanzee (The Cambridge Encyclopaedia of Life Sciences) . This is indeed understandable if we consider that DNA is the basis of physical inheritance. The proof therefore that we share the physical body in common with
other animals is this similarity in the DNA, which is the substance that
indeed controls physical inheritance. The difference however, in the blood
composition shows that the existence of the blood does not depend on the
physical body but on something else, otherwise there would have been a
similarity. This is proof that the formation of the blood depends on
something else which has not up till now been discovered which is the core
or the essence which in the case of animals, is the animistic soul of the
animal, while in the case of humans is the spirit. If we have the courage
to accept that man cannot just be the physical body then everything can be
explained with no gaps and suddenly we have everything before us clearly
set out. The statistics set up above indeed proves the common physical
inheritance but fails to explain the difference in blood composition. The
blood therefore is uniquely human.
