THE EARTH

The element earth would include the crust of the earth, the mantle and the core and the elemental beings who concern themselves with these. Also to be included are the various plant life-forms that grow from the crust of the earth and the elemental beings which deal with these. The latter are called elves and they include the flower and tree elves. The entire surface of the earth and the various environments, hence the rocks, mountains, deserts, forests and so on must be included. Each of the landscapes of the different continents and in different countries have their own characteristics and each forms a part of the whole; each has what it has to give. Each has its own vegetation which are not usually found elsewhere and represents an adaptation to its particular environment.

Each has its group of adapted animals and each type of soil has its own group of organisms in it. Each of these characteristics make them indispensable parts of the whole and which the human beings living in that particular soil should learn to exploit. Each soil produces exactly what the particular people need for its sustenance, its foods and medicines, clothing and even shelter and mineral resources. Each soil or land gives man what he needs for his time on earth, each soil has abundant untapped resources, a potential to blossom forth with riches and perfection, but this can only be done with the help of human beings with our special talents working in conjunction with the elemental beings which joint activity will then allow the whole earth to begin to resemble the Luminous Heights. We are therefore through our abilities to bring each soil or land to blossom in its own way and all the potentials and possibilities for these are there, we only need to tap them.

Not only do we need to learn how to grow our foods efficiently and store them, we also need to know what Nature gives us in terms of natural fruits and herbs which are cures for many ailments. We have not even scratched the surface of this, yet this is so indispensable that we can hardly make progress at all in the earthly sense if we do not master this. Our physical bodies and as such the proper unfolding of our spirits depend entirely on this. According to Abd-ru-shin, the choice of foods alone can help in maintaining a kind of blood radiation suitable for the unfolding of the human spirits on earth. This is so important that everything depends on it. A proper knowledge and a proper combination of foods leads to a situation where we can unfold our talents. But this knowledge can only be gained through close collaboration with the beings responsible for all these.

They are the ones who have fashioned our physical bodies and are the ones who provide nourishment for it through their activities. They are therefore the ones who hold the key to this knowledge. The great varieties of flowers on earth help awaken the sense of beauty which we brought with us from the Luminous Heights as a strong support and staff for our wanderings preventing us from going astray and leading us back to the Luminous Heights. The treasures that are buried in the earth are to be used to decorate the Temple of God which every race should have. There must always be a place where the pure worship of God is carried out and the treasures from the ground are to be used in the decoration of this Hall of Worship.

Every land has its own peculiar resources underground, even some deserts are known to have diamonds. The most important thing for us is to gain connection with the elemental beings. Once this is done all the secrets connected with this particular element will then be shown to us even architectural styles can be learnt from them. Let us however examine the structure of the earth and observe the effect man has had.

The earth is made up of

  1. The Crust which is a layer that extends downwards to about 100 kilometres

  2. The Mantle and

  3. The Core.

The crust consists of the outer surface of the earth with all the soil types, the floor of the oceans and so on. The mantle is divided in to two layers. This layer generally extends down to a depth of 2900 kilometres. It is mainly solid and contains minerals such as Iron, Magnesium and Silicon. The core however, has an outer shell of about 2225 kilometres thick; the inner core has a thickness of about 1275 kilometres. Both cores consists mainly of Iron with a small percentage of Nickel. The inner core is very hot however, approaching 6650° centigrade. This heat is carried to the surface through a process of convection through the mantle. This flow can help to supply hot molten rock to the surface and help to form the lava that erupt from volcanoes. The earth, on account of this core of iron is a gigantic magnet. The crust of the earth is where vegetation lies and on which we have the soil which is made from the weathering of rocks. Rocks are generally divided into three

  • Igneous,
  • Metamorphic,
  • Sedimentary.

The soil, for all practical purposes is formed through a combination of the weathering of these rocks, the decay of organic material and soluble constituents such as nitrates and so on, water and gases. There are also organisms within it which help in its turnover such as earthworms and mites. It also has a large amount of bacteria which help in the formation of the nitrates which are needed by the plants. In the crust of the earth, there are minerals, precious stones and so on whose real uses are only to be shown to us through the association with the elemental beings and in ancient lore it has been said that the gnomes are those who guard the treasures of the earth underground.

The plants, in their usefulness to mankind cannot be overemphasised. Their photosynthetic activity alone and the benefits we derive from this has already been considered. Their usefulness as herbal remedies for the treatment of all kinds of diseases is still something that needs to be fully explored. Plants serve as foods as primary producers in many food chains. It would not be possible to exhaust in this small section all the usefulness of plants to life on earth.
